The moment arrives as the demolition begins: Xianglun sits at the ancient piano and begins to play Secret from memory, guided by Xiaoyu’s whispered instruction to “play it fast when I want to go back.” The structure groans and collapses around him, and just as a wrecking ball descends, he pushes through the final note, risking everything for the chance to reach her.

Outside the classroom, a glimmer of recognition appears as Xiaoyu looks in and smiles at him, an image that seems to bridge two decades.
