Two gangs collide in a tense power struggle: one is led by a ruthless mastermind named Sarveshwaran, who operates from Kumbakonam with a tight-knit crew. In Pollachi, his doppelganger Surya emerges as a contrasting figure—an unemployed youth living in a bustling bungalow with his extended family, and a man in love with his cousin Maha. Surya’s life takes a sharp turn when he discovers a metal sheet engraved in Chinese, which upon closer inspection reveals a mix of Chinese script and Tamil words, hinting at a larger foreign connection behind the plot.

Sarveshwaran’s backstory unfolds through a conversation with his late mother’s portrait. He recounts a troubled childhood as the son of a disabled florist mother, observing other children enjoying simple freedoms like wristwatches and candy. He longed to learn English and excel in life, but a government-school admission attempt ends in tragedy when a school principal denies him a place and he witnesses his mother’s death after a balcony fall—an event he later mirrors by killing the principal. The scene shifts to the present, where Sarveshwaran promises wealth and power, revealing his true identity as a terrorist with a widening scope of danger.

Meanwhile, Thirumalai [Samuthirakani] is a dedicated cop who investigates a lorry filled with the ominous Ophalaskas. The vehicle belongs to Sarveshwaran, and Thirumalai soon uncovers that a hospital has been repurposed into a lodge, with injured men mysteriously recovering—an eerie sign of Sarveshwaran’s influence and reach. This shocking discovery places Thirumalai squarely in Sarveshwaran’s crosshairs, and trouble deepens when Selvam, one of Sarveshwaran’s men, stabs him. Thirumalai survives the assault and calls for help, but Surya is stunned to learn that his ally is believed to be dead.

Unfolding the deeper layer of intrigue, Surya is revealed to be an undercover cop. Rekha, a police officer who secretly assists the undercover operation, changes her name to Minmini and soon becomes entangled in a romance with Surya. As the investigation widens, Surya learns that Sarveshwaran has forged ties with Chinese terrorists to bring down India, striking at the heart of the nation with the WHI plan (We Hate India). Determined to stop the threat, Surya and a small team of undercover officers infiltrate Sarveshwaran’s lair. In a decisive clash, they kill two of Sarveshwaran’s men: Rangarajan alias RR [Radha Ravi] and Dhandapani [Kadhal Thandapani], while Surya continues to fight the war from within.

The conflict escalates as Sarveshwaran kidnaps Surya’s family, including Maha, and leaves only a handful of them unscathed while others fall victim to his ruthless tactics. Surya keeps Selvam under his custody as the stakes grow ever higher. When Surya, Selvam, and the undercover team advance to Sarveshwaran’s stronghold, Surya emerges as the last man standing while his colleagues fall, and Rekha’s efforts to intervene fail. Surya then rescues his kidnapped family and confronts a timer-bound bomb that endangers Maha.

A fierce confrontation follows between Surya and Sarveshwaran. Although Sarveshwaran delivers powerful blows, Surya refuses to yield and eventually subdues him. As Surya deactivates the bomb and saves Maha, he discovers that Sarveshwaran appears to vanish. In the pursuit that follows, Sarveshwaran ambushes Surya with a fatal stab to the stomach. Surya endures the wound and, drawing on his resilience, eliminates Sarveshwaran and halts his plot to destroy India. In the aftermath, Surya is publicly praised for thwarting the terror network and protecting the nation.

Throughout the ordeal, the balance between duty, family, and danger comes into sharp focus, painting a portrait of a city-wide conflict where personal loyalties collide with national stakes. The film blends high-stakes action with moments of personal devotion, showing how a single thread—Ophalaska—and a web of deceit can ripple through communities, pulling ordinary people into extraordinary, perilous circumstances.
