As chaos engulfs Britain, a mysterious virus wreaks havoc, transforming ordinary citizens into relentless undead creatures. The outbreak, which initiated in a southern England prison, spreads with an unstoppable force. In response, a joint British-American special forces unit is assembled, consisting of Captain Marcus Stanton, Lieutenant Frank Perez, Lieutenant Rodrigo Gonzalez, and several other seasoned operatives. Their perilous mission? To extract Dr. Julian Raynes, the only hope for a viable cure to the escalating crisis.

The team’s hunt for Dr. Raynes begins with an extensive search at one of four potential locations. They launch an assault from the river on sleek assault craft, breaching their first target with adrenaline-fueled determination. Shockingly, they encounter intelligent zombies that engage in hand-to-hand combat, using their surroundings as tools, making the battle even more perilous.

Their hard-fought battle pays off when they escape the overrun site with a collection of combat vehicles, setting their sights on the next destination: a vast high-rise complex. However, upon arrival, they find the flats overrun by hordes of the undead. Despite reaching the top floor, Dr. Raynes continues to evade capture, leaving the team in disappointment.

Disaster then strikes when Corporal Jacob Gallagher becomes a victim of a zombie attack, sustaining severe injuries. Faced with the harrowing prospect of becoming undead, Jacob chooses to end his suffering with a single gunshot, leaving the rest of the team to grapple with their loss.

As the team regroups and re-evaluates their strategy, they stumble upon a grim discovery: an army of undead soldiers in CBRN hazmat suits have taken over a makeshift encampment. In the midst of the chaos, they spot Private Perry Bernstein being transported away. Using the tracking signal from his locator device, they follow the trail, eventually finding a base where Bernstein and other survivors, including two civilian women and Dr. Raynes himself, are confined.

Upon freeing themselves from the claustrophobic confines of their captors, the survivors are confronted with a terrifying reality: hordes of zombie soldiers, their humanity stripped away by their insatiable hunger for flesh. A brutal firefight ensues, leading to chaos and carnage where the heroes struggle to escape the relentless assault. In the midst of this bedlam, they finally confront Dr. Raynes again, only to learn from Major General Charles Smith at the military command center the devastating truth: his son has become one of the infected, and the experiments he led contributed to creating even more monstrous creatures.

As the remaining survivors seek sanctuary in a bunker, intrigue unfolds when Paige confides in Rodrigo about her infection from a previous skirmish, exposing her mouth to contaminated blood. However, undeterred by the impending doom, Rodrigo shares a heartfelt kiss with Paige, affirming their commitment to each other as they prepare to face the unknown together.

Rumors circulate about a young girl named Alicia, who might possess the secret to understanding the virus’s mysterious immunity. When Stanton, Bernstein, Perez, and Alicia reach their extraction point, they face a shocking reality: Smith has descended into madness, taking extreme measures against a populace he blames for the outbreak. In a bid for vengeance, he seeks to unleash the virus further, transforming it into a deadly airborne threat.

As violence erupts between Smith’s forces and the survivors, several members of the team fall; Perez sacrifices himself in a noble effort, while Stanton and Alicia find themselves captured by a gang from the prison. Astonishingly, Alicia is revealed to be the daughter of Jimmy, the leader of the rioters, offering a glimmer of hope regarding a potential cure.

Stanton’s sharp instincts lead him to notice Alicia’s peculiar scars, suggesting past encounters with the infected. They quickly realize that Alicia’s immunity to the virus could be the key to their salvation. Armed with this critical information, Stanton plans to infiltrate a nearby free zone, seeking support from heavily armed rebels.

Upon reuniting with Bernstein, who has miraculously escaped the quarantine zone, Stanton unveils his plan to expose Smith’s brutal regime, which aims to destroy the quarantine zone and create a tyrannical government in its place. The rebels, horrified by this revelation, agree to assist in exposing Smith’s dark intentions.

Their challenging journey culminates in a relentless battle against the horde and an unexpected clash with the prison gang. As they approach the border, Smith appears, ready to unleash chaos. Yet, before his men can act, a vicious fight between a zombified Stanton and Smith ensues, resulting in Smith’s unexpected demise.

In the aftermath, Bernstein is left with heavy responsibilities, delivering a mercy killing to the fallen hero, while Alicia is safely extracted from the quarantine zone and taken under Bernstein’s wing, as he returns to fulfill his mission amidst the devastation.
