Nani stars as Praveen “PJ” Jayaramaraju, the spoiled grandson of a wealthy zamindar, Rudra Ramaraju, whose world revolves around glittering parties, flashy clothes, and money he burns without a second thought. On his eighteenth birthday, the old man’s will arrives with a life-altering challenge. PJ must earn his wealth the hard way, starting from scratch at Shrimati Mangamma Government Degree College, living as a regular student with no luxuries for three years, and staying at the Rajanna hostel under the watch of the stern warden, a figure brought to life by Rao Ramesh as Rajanna. To his surprise, the will also requires him to complete his graduation within the time limit, and the first set of conditions begins to pry open PJ’s hardened shell. He heads to the village, where he meets Rajanna and enrolls in college, finding it tough to adjust to a world where money isn’t everything and where he must live simply.

There, he forges new bonds with a circle of students—Kanna Babu, Jaatheeyam, Maqbool, and others—who become his unlikely support system. Sindhu also lands at the same college in her hometown, and PJ’s path starts to intersect with hers in meaningful ways. When his hands are wounded, Sindhu steps in and scribes for him during supplementary exams, a small act that hints at a growing dependency and a slow shift in his attitude. The third condition lands three months after joining: PJ must be elected as the student union president and must not pick fights with anyone during his time at college. Reluctantly, he begins to adapt, trading the excesses of his former life for a new code of conduct while discovering that people and relationships matter far more than money.

As the years pass, PJ’s second year brings a new test. He seeks election through bribery—even offering alcohol to sway votes—an act that backfires, eroding the trust and respect of his friends and Rajanna. When despair temptingly calls him to abandon the college, Rajanna reveals the deeper family history behind his grandfather’s stipulations. PJ learns that his father had studied in the same college and fell in love with PJ’s mother, defying his father’s own father’s wishes. Tragedy strikes when PJ’s parents die in an accident, leaving Ramaraju to confront his mistake and watch his heir grow into the very arrogant figure he once was. The campaign culminates in a hard-earned victory that satisfies his late grandfather’s last wish. PJ’s transformation completes not just as a political win but as a personal rebirth; he learns to value humanity over privilege and earns the trust and respect of his friends and his community.

In a selfless act that tests every edge of his new identity, PJ risks his entire fortune to save Kanna Babu’s life, a sacrifice that proves the depth of his changed character.
