Once Upon a Warrior 2011

Irendri is a powerful sorceress who wreaked havoc across Anga Rajyam, instilling fear among its inhabitants. Her reign of terror was eventually stopped when a wise guru captured her, preventing her from manipulating people’s lives, and ultimately destroying her. However, before her demise, Irendri managed to preserve her essence by taking her soul and imprisoning it within a small locket. Although she was killed physically, her spirit remained alive inside the locket, quietly waiting for the right moment to return. Her great-great-granddaughter, Priya, lives as a wandering gypsy, carrying with her the legacy of this mystical lineage.

Priya [played by Shruti Haasan] inherits her family’s magical heritage, possessing innate powers that she has yet to fully understand. The story takes a turn with the arrival of Yodha, a roving swordsman known for his charm and romantic exploits. Yodha, whose character is portrayed by Siddharth, becomes captivated by Priya’s beauty and soon falls deeply in love with her. Their budding romance is disrupted when a notorious local goon named Sudigundam, played by Ravi Babu, attacks the gypsy village. Yodha intervenes and successfully fights off Sudigundam, but the villain secretly ambushes him, ties his hands, and sets fire to the entire village.

During the chaos, Priya’s cherished locket falls to the ground, releasing Irendri’s spirit with the flames. The power of the serpents, known as Sarpa Sakthi, reveals that by extracting a drop of Priya’s blood, Irendri can gain immense strength. Seizing this opportunity, Irendri captures Priya and imprisons her, aiming to harness her blood for her revival. Meanwhile, the attack leaves Yodha blinded after Sudigundam wounds his eyes. Fortunately, he is rescued by a sage, or swami, and takes on a mission to save Moksha, a divine child with extraordinary powers, played by Harshita.

Irendri, seeking revenge, targets the village of Agartha, where she renders its children senseless through her dark magic. Druki, [played by Vallabhaneni Ramji], sets out to bring Moksha from Pushpagiri, as her divine strength is essential to counter Irendri’s evil plans. Along with Yodha and Moksha, they begin their journey to confront the sorceress. The Sarpa Sakthi warns Irendri that during a lunar eclipse, Moksha’s blood could make her invincible. Determined to secure this power, Irendri dispatches her men to seize Moksha. Yodha defeats them all, protecting the young girl from danger.

However, Irendri, refusing to give up, orders her chief commander, Sudigundam, to capture Moksha. During this pursuit, Yodha discovers that Priya is still alive and rescues her along with Moksha. Thanks to Moksha’s divine intervention, Yodha’s vision is restored. Realizing the threat Irendri poses, Yodha vows to rid the world of her darkness once and for all. In an intense climactic battle, he confronts and ultimately destroys Irendri, ending her reign of evil and restoring peace to Anga Rajyam.

Throughout this epic tale of magic, revenge, and heroism, themes of love, bravery, and the fight between good and evil are vividly portrayed, making it a compelling journey from beginning to end.
