Sailaja, Nithya Menen arrives in Hyderabad from the USA, the pampered daughter of a celebrated philanthropist, Sivaji Rao. He is portrayed as a kind-spirited man who runs multiple orphanages and is poised to launch a political career. Sailaja’s plans to spend time with her father are dashed when he reveals he must travel abroad to rally supporters before stepping into politics. She looks forward to a trip with her online friend Sujatha, but their meeting in a café soon sets off a chain of events that will change everything.

Outside the cafe, a corrupt police officer tortures a pregnant woman to coerce information about her husband. Sailaja and Sujatha rush to help; when the officer threatens Sailaja and strikes Sujatha, Sailaja curses the officer, saying that people like him shouldn’t be alive. In that instant, a sniper’s bullet ends the officer’s life. The shooter is revealed to be Surya, Nara Rohith, the movie’s enigmatic protagonist.

Sailaja and Sujatha travel to Vizag, where Sujatha’s uncle welcomes them as part of a warm, close-knit family led by Sreenu Mama (Naga Babu). The two friends plan sightseeing, but Sujatha abruptly leaves, and Sailaja finds herself wandering alone in the forest. A masked figure appears, and when Sailaja’s leg is caught in a trap, the same masked man—revealed as Surya—appears, removes the trap, and brings her to his home for care. There she discovers a bustling, loving joint family whose bond reminds her of her own late mother. Surya, who introduces himself as part of this family, becomes a steady presence in her days as she is drawn into their everyday joys.

In the nearby town, a ruthless MLA (Jeeva) abuses a young rebel, and Sailaja tries to intervene but is halted by Sreenu Mama. The MLA’s car explodes in what appears to be divine justice as Sailaja screams that such men deserve to die. The near-tragic incident deepens Sailaja’s connection to Surya and his kin, and when they visit a temple in the forest, Surya explains that lighting a diya there grants a wish. Sailaja confides that she wishes to belong to Surya’s family, and in a moment of candor, Surya admits that he wishes to stay by her side forever and proposes.

The next day, at a biannual fair, Sailaja searches for Surya and his family but cannot find them. Sreenu Mama reveals a chilling truth: Surya’s family has been dead for two years, and their graves lie at the family home. Sailaja faints from the shock, and a TV crew led by the eccentric host Sodhan, Brahmanandam, tries to interview her, only to be redirected by Sreenu Mama. The investigation team sent by Sailaja’s father arrives, eager to uncover what happened; Sreenu Mama explains he burned the family’s photographs because the memories were too painful. A newspaper with images of Sivaji Rao surfaces, and the team uncovers two portraits and old articles that contradict Sailaja’s memories of Surya’s family.

Guru, the investigation lead, explains that Surya’s tale was a trap from the start: Sailaja had been lured to Vizag with the help of Sujatha and Sreenu Mama to expose a secret. Surya’s true story unfolds: Archana, Surya’s sister, had fallen in love with Sivaji Rao’s son, Sailaja’s elder brother. Sivaji Rao had promised to attend the engagement the next day, and Surya, then in training, rushed home when news reached him. That night, a police convoy warns of a dangerous killer on the loose, while Surya’s family is preparing for the engagement. A masked killer murders everyone in the household, and the next day Surya arrives to find his family dead.

The investigation reveals that the killer was Sivaji Rao’s driver, a man Sivaji Rao had used to cover his tracks. Surya defeats the driver and tells Sreenu Mama the truth. The revelation closes the circle on Sivaji Rao’s manipulation: he orchestrated the murders to force his son’s marriage to a multi-millionaire’s daughter and funnel wealth into his political ambitions. This entire sequence is captured by Sodhan, who later shows Sailaja the tape.

Fueled by the truth, Surya confronts Sivaji Rao in a daylight showdown. He fights his way through Sivaji Rao’s henchmen, and the police finally threaten to shoot him unless he lowers his weapon. The press questions his motive, but Surya declares that Sivaji Rao is not a god—he is ruthless and capable of murder. Sailaja, standing by Surya, confronts her father with the evidence they’ve gathered. Sivaji Rao attempts to persuade her to save him, but Sailaja refuses, recognizing the truth. As the tension peaks, a stray shot from a security officer’s gun kills Sivaji Rao, ending his reign of influence. With the villain gone and the truth laid bare, Surya and Sailaja embrace, stepping forward into a new future together.
