Srikanth as Kalyan, a bank officer, spends his days dreaming about who his would-be wife might be. He faces repeated refusals from his parents for an intercaste marriage, a hurdle that shadows his hopes even as his career rises with a promotion. The assignment lands him in Pattiseema, a scenic village in the West Godavari District, where life seems to offer a chance at happiness and new beginnings. The journey takes a sharp turn when a terrible bus accident alters his path forever.

Midway through this upheaval, Kalyan loses his eyesight. After three long months, he gradually regains his sight and returns to the job, standing by his best friend Ramesh, played by Rajendra Prasad as Ramesh, who stays by his side and helps him readjust to a world that looks different now. In this same neighborhood, a warm, charming girl named Meghamala enters his life; she is a neighbor whose hospitality and affection extend far beyond simple kinship. Meghamala, played by Soundarya, draws Kalyan into a circle of care and attention that feels almost familial, and her contagious warmth makes him believe in the possibility of love again.

As days pass, Kalyan, encouraged by Ramesh, makes earnest but humorous attempts to win Meghamala’s heart. Their endeavours are lighthearted and full of missteps, turning into a collection of comical situations that nevertheless bring them closer in small, meaningful ways. One day, in a twist that changes the course of the story, Kalyan accidentally discovers Meghamala’s diary. The pages reveal a confession of love for him and hint at a future filled with marriage prospects, yet Meghamala’s feelings are more complex than they first appear. She reveals that her heart has long belonged to Srinivas, an Indian Army Major, and that the dream of a shared life with Kalyan may not be as simple as it seems.

Srinivas, whose role is central to the emotional tension of the film, returns during a vacation and meets Meghamala. The elders in their families fix a matchmaking arrangement for Srinivas and Meghamala, and the two cross paths, falling in love, then becoming engaged. Meghamala is quiet and shy as Srinivas asks her to propose, a moment that she finds difficult to articulate. An emergency call from the army headquarters interrupts the moment, and Meghamala rushes to join Srinivas at the railway station, hoping to fulfill his wish. In a shocking turn of events, Srinivas becomes the victim of an accident similar to the one that left Kalyan blind, and in a controversial twist, Srinivas receives the transplant of Kalyan’s eyes.

Meghamala’s resolve becomes tangled with emotion; she admits that her encounter with Kalyan was partly driven by a desire to see his eyes, and she regrets not having been able to propose. Yet Kalyan remains steadfast, choosing to hold his own ground even as his feelings become complicated by the new reality. Meghamala then orchestrates a plan that would tie Kalyan to another woman, Srilakshmi, arranging his marriage to her in a bid to resolve the situation. When Meghamala attends the wedding, Kalyan’s parents reject her presence, driving her away in anger and disappointment.

The next day brings a surprising turn: Meghamala returns to discover that Kalyan has called off the wedding arrangement and has instead chosen to see Ramesh united with Srilakshmi. In this moment of quiet determination, Kalyan asserts that he will stay single, honoring his own feelings and the complicated relationships that have shaped his journey. In the end, Meghamala’s care for his eyes continues, and Kalyan waits with hopeful heart for the day when their paths might finally align.
