To bring a sense of order and opportunity, Aruna Giri—an insider with local roots—arranges a meeting between Kumaran and the ruthless, narcissistic MLA Pandiyan [Ilavarasu]. Pandiyan proposes a deal: Kumaran can help revive the village’s prospects if he joins Pandiyan’s KMK party, with a condition to recruit 500 villagers to the fold.
