The film opens in a bustling Bangalore hotel where Cheran plays a guitar for producers who are trying to launch him as a musician in Tamil cinema. At that moment, Prasanna as Arjun, visibly drunk, creates a dangerous scene and even threatens to fall from the rooftop into the swimming pool below—a reckless act that sets the story in motion.

On the way back to Chennai, Nanda’s car stalls after a sudden brake to avoid a collision with a group of arrogant, drunken youngsters. Arjun, who traveled separately to the city, offers him a ride. The two men come from different worlds and clash over many opinions, yet they begin sharing the painful chapters of their lives as they travel together. Nanda recounts his loveless marriage to Nikita Thukral as Indhu and his complicated, emotionally strained life with Lavanya, his post‑marital love, played by Hariprriya. He paints a picture of a man trying to endure an adjusted life with his wife.

Arjun then reveals his own battered upbringing under his father, Devarajan, a renowned industrialist who believes in power and control even when it harms his son. The tale grows darker as he explains how his father’s actions destroyed Linda, a woman who worked in Devarajan’s office and who is devastated after he rapes her; Linda, portrayed by Suma Bhattacharya, ultimately takes her own life as a result of the tragedy. Arjun has lived under the shadow of that abuse, carrying a vow to protect his late love’s memory.

As their journey continues, they encounter the rowdy youngsters involved in the earlier car incident. A confrontation ensues, and Nanda and Arjun escape together, only to realize they share a dangerous, intertwined fate. Arjun lays out a criss‑cross plan: Arjun would kill Nanda’s wife, while Nanda would kill Arjun’s father. He argues that since they are strangers unseen by the world, no one will be able to trace a motive or catch them. Nanda rejects the plan outright, severing the discussion and choosing not to become a killer.

Yet the plan’s shadow lingers over the next week. Nanda, gradually drawn by a sense of shared grievance with Arjun, begins to see his own struggle in a new light—though he still clings to his belief that murder isn’t the answer. Meanwhile, Arjun’s manipulations escalate. A policeman who suspects Nanda of arranging Indhu’s accident becomes Arjun’s next target, and he kills the officer, with the incident reported as an electrical accident at the suspect’s home.

Nanda, now convinced that Arjun will not abandon him, agrees to confront his own limits and even considers killing Devarajan to end the nightmare. Arjun travels to Bangalore to set up an alibi while Nanda prepares to act, but the reality of the plan unsettles him. He discovers that Devarajan is not the monster he was led to believe and that the supposed “evil” man is, in truth, a kind father figure. Disturbed by this revelation, Nanda abandons the murder plot and seeks Arjun out to end the dangerous game.

A fateful encounter unfolds when Nanda tracks Arjun to a Bangalore hotel. He announces that he will kill Arjun instead of Devarajan, hoping to end the cycle of violence once and for all. The two come to blows, and Arjun, trying to escape, slips and falls from the hotel roof into the pool area at the film’s opening—an event closed with the hotel’s report of a drunken fall. Arjun dies instantly, and Nanda, though haunted by the realization of the truth behind Arjun’s manipulations, accepts that the killer’s end came to him in his own moment of peril. In the end, Nanda remains free of the path he was being drawn toward, while the enigmatic, tragic night in Bangalore closes the circle of their intertwined fates.
