Kemban G. V. Seeing a chance to win Balamani’s trust, Kemban pretends to befriend Azhagar, hoping the old man’s affection will pave the way to her heart. The plan takes a sharper turn when Kemban discovers an unconventional path to social acceptance: adopting Azhagar as his grandfather through the help of a sympathetic local councilor.
