As the investigation deepens, CCTV footage paints a troubling timeline: Karan is seen entering his apartment at 2 a.m. and leaving at 4 a.m.—the approximate time Barkha died—then re-entering at 6 a.m. All the seemingly airtight evidence points toward him. Yet Karan maintains a different memory, insisting he spent that night at Bob’s apartment because he could not drive. The campaign manager’s doubts grow, and his unsettling discoveries push him toward seeking help in Leeds, a mental institute, before meeting a grim end at the hands of the same spirit that haunt Barkha.

Simran’s instincts lead her to question the alibi and dig deeper into the strange details of the case. She uncovers that Karan had been with a girl on the night Barkha died, a girl whose name appears nowhere in the police report. Determined to uncover the truth, Simran consults a demonologist, and the revelation arrives with a jolt: the girl was possessed, and so was Karan. Under possession, Karan is implicated in Barkha’s murder, and his memory of the event remains shrouded in darkness.

The plot thickens as it is disclosed that Barkha was involved in a lesbian relationship with the same girl, a fact hidden to protect reputation and power. Barkha’s marriage to Karan was motivated by fame and money, and when the truth threatened to surface, Barkha’s lover faced pressure and fear, eventually ending up in a mental institution. There, that same girl encounters Simran’s father, a doctor, and the web of connections grows more tangled. The girl who was being blackmailed uses fear and tragedy to exact revenge even after death, and she entrusts a locket—filled with her power—to Simran’s father, instructing him to pass it to Barkha after her death.

Meanwhile, the missing girl’s body is found, and suspicion immediately falls on Karan. Simran teams up with her ex-boyfriend to perform an exorcism, hoping to expel the malevolent force and free those under its grip. During the ritual, the ghost seizes control of Karan, threatening to destroy any chance of his innocence. In a decisive moment, Simran shatters the locket, breaking the demon’s hold and freeing Karan from possession. With the malevolent presence exorcised, Karan’s name is cleared, and he and Simran admit their love for one another.

The finale unfolds with a celebratory party at Karan’s home, marking a political victory. Yet the story leaves a chilling note: a box delivered by a cellmate of the deceased girl contains the broken pieces of the locket, hinting that the curse is not truly over and that new dangers may be looming just beneath the surface.
