In exchange for saving her bag, Dylan agrees to be the subject of Josh’s documentary about high school popularity. She hopes the film will help her campaign to become “Blossom Queen,” insisting that winning is her main goal in life. A clash soon erupts over how much of a diva she is, and Josh fires Dylan from the project, leaving him to steer the film in a new direction, which Dylan finds hard to accept.

Determined to make amends and reclaim his trust, Dylan decides to rejoin the project by watching Flight of the Navigator with Josh and his friends Ari, Steven, and Caitlin Raven. After the screening, the two kiss and make up, and Josh reinstates her on the documentary.
