During his transportation and subsequent stay at the stable, he observes the horses enjoying their freedom and being showered with care.
After a mishap where he accidentally topples a shelf of trophies, EO is sent to a farm, a place where he quickly descends into a melancholic state, refusing to eat. Despite his difficult circumstances, he finds a brief moment of joy when Kasandra visits him on his birthday, bringing along a carrot muffin and wishing him, > “may all your dreams come true.” Inspired by her kindness, EO attempts to escape through the fence to follow her but ends up lost in a dark and foreboding forest, where he encounters various forms of wildlife.
