On 6 June 2009, Samuel “Sam” Richard, a man who had triumphed over cancer, was found hanging from an apartment building, alongside his friends who had fallen to their deaths. His wife, Debbie, suspected that their deaths were not accidental and believed foul play was involved. Over the years, Debbie faced intense emotional turmoil, especially after miscarrying twice despite her ongoing efforts to conceive using Sam’s preserved sperm via artificial insemination, a fact that caused outrage and tension within her family. Debbie remained emotionally closer to Dr. Richard, Sam’s father, seeking comfort and understanding in the aftermath of the tragedy.

Six years after Sam’s mysterious death, Debbie has moved on and is preparing to open her Chinese restaurant. On 6 June 2015, she witnesses a shocking event — the apparent suicide of an astrologer, which compels her to encounter Srinivasan “Srini”, a man connected to the uncanny forces surrounding her life. Sensing the lingering presence of Sam’s spirit, Debbie seeks the assistance of a Daoshi, a spiritual guide, to communicate with her late husband, hoping to find answers. Her suspicions and intuition grow stronger as she begins to believe that Sam’s death and the events surrounding it are intertwined with supernatural elements.

Meanwhile, in Hyderabad, a complex family feud unfolds involving Raghunandhan and his half-sister Aishwarya, who are battling in court over their late father’s estate, valued at a staggering ₹2,500 crore (approximately ₹38 billion or US$450 million in 2023). They are contesting against their estranged brother, Srini, for control of the inheritance, which accounts for 70% of their inheritance pool. During this legal turmoil, a mysterious book titled “Unsung King of a Fallen Kingdom”, previously read once by Sam and Raghavan, becomes crucial. This book, which is rarely borrowed, appears to be linked to a sinister chain of supernatural killings, with every borrower meeting an abrupt and mysterious death on 6 June — the exact date that also marks the anniversary of Sam’s death.

As Debbie delves deeper into the spiritual realm, she finds herself in the spirit world, where she perceives Sam trapped and pleading for help, scribbling the word “help” as a desperate plea. She even sketches a disturbing message, “This will repeat,” along with a double image of Srini’s face, hinting at a dark connection between the lives and deaths of these characters. Her intuition proves correct when Srini, who had fallen from his own fatal accident years prior, awakens in a state of vegetative consciousness, further tying multiple incidents into a web of fate and supernatural interference.

Fast forward to 6 June 2021, six years after Srini’s accident, the Daoshi advises Debbie that she should perform a Mahayana Mahakala Pooja to help Srini, who remains in a coma under Richard’s care. Raghunandhan attempts to secure passive euthanasia for Srini via court order in hopes of claiming the significant inheritance. Debbie warns Raghunandhan that harming Srini might seal his own doom, revealing the cosmic truth: Raghunandhan and Srini, born from the same atomic source, are cosmically intertwined and destined to die together. The story reveals that both survived their fatal accidents due to an inexplicable, interconnected fate — a cosmic balancing act that cannot be broken.

Their journey uncovers a mysterious, ancient book that was previously read by Sam and Raghavan, which holds the key to the supernatural happenings. This book exposes Demonte Colony, a malevolent force that claims to kill its victims in a chain, trapping their spirits in a relentless cycle. The duo discovers that within the library, a librarian Alphonse Gerald had handled this cursed book, and each year, victims who read it mysteriously die on 6 June. The evil force, known as Demonte, seeks to perform a dark sacrifice to its ancient Portuguese king, involving a haunted house and human victims to sustain its power.

The protagonists then attempt to protect the Demonte house, which is riddled with malevolent spirits and traps. Inside, they encounter ghostly visions of kidnapped girls and learn that the book’s power has been used to summon demonic entities. As the investigations intensify, the team faces a series of dangerous supernatural encounters, including possession and attack by demonic spirits. Debbie, Raghu, and their spiritual guide, Dhayalan, try to perform a ritual to break the curse, utilizing sacred objects like a phurba (a ritual dagger).

However, Demonte’s spirit arrives in a terrifying form, possessing Srini and attempting to complete a ritual sacrifice that would awaken the demon’s full power. As chaos erupts in the haunted restaurant, Debbie receives a vision of Sam’s spirit among bats, revealing that her pregnancy is a part of this dark cosmic cycle — a message of hope, but also a warning. The spirits of the cursed must be freed before more lives are lost.

In a climactic confrontation, the group manages to halt the human sacrifice just in time, with Dhayalan striking the phurba to banish Demonte’s spirit, but not without sacrifice. Richard dies in the process, and Srini begins to recover, but Raghu falls into a coma, illustrating the high cost of confronting this dark force. The truth about Alphonse Gerald’s haunted house is uncovered — a place of self-sacrifice and torment designed to appease Demonte, with photographs revealing a disturbing pattern of annual sacrifices.

In the final scenes, set in rural Bihar, a mysterious figure is seen limping and carrying photos of sacrificed victims. This figure kills another person, offering it as a sacrifice to Satan, emphasizing that the dark cycle is far from over. Srini, now aware of his cosmic duty, commits himself to finding and confronting this mysterious figure, his family, and the origins of Demonte. His mission is to end the curse and break the cycle of death once and for all by 6 June 2027, promising a potential hope for salvation amid the darkness.
