Late at night, sinister guttural screams erupt from the woods, waking the household. Pahoo and Rives hurriedly attempt to document the sounds with a tape recorder. The eerie noises confirm that something dangerous stalks the area.

Diner meeting Becky and Michelle

At a local diner, Pahoo and Rives meet Becky and Michelle, two women who take an obvious liking to them. The women agree to visit the campsite that evening in the nearby state park. Their unexpected company promises new angles for the investigation but raises questions about safety and motives.

That night, the trio heads into the swamp and Pahoo is viciously attacked by the creature while Rives waits in the van. The two men survive the encounter, but Pahoo is gravely injured and unconscious. The creature lingers in the swamp, leaving only muddy traces.
