Meera, Diana Penty, a shy and traditional Indian girl, leaves her family in India to start a new life in London with her husband Randeep Hooda. The following morning brings a mix of familiarity and tension: Meera has a job interview and returns home to find Gautam lounging on Veronica’s couch. She learns that Gautam and Veronica had slept together the prior night. In short order, Gautam moves in with Veronica and Meera, maintaining his familiar, carefree dynamic with Veronica while keeping Meera at a distance that gradually softens as he spends more time with her. Into this delicate arrangement step in Gautam’s family: Kavita, Dimple Kapadia, Gautam’s mother, and Randhir, Boman Irani, his uncle.
