Chantibabu, a well-established paint business entrepreneur and a respected figure in both family and society, lives in Vijayawada with his wife Mahalakshmi and their son Ganesh Babu, a warm, friendly bachelor who quietly helps run the family’s enterprise. Their younger daughter lives abroad in London with her husband. Mahalakshmi’s four stepbrothers also share in the business, and even though their homes are separate, the clan gathers to celebrate every festival and milestone, keeping the ties of kinship strong and visible.

Peddabbai, the eldest of Mahalakshmi’s stepbrothers, grows increasingly jealous of the credit Chantibabu receives for the family success. He secures ₹400 from Chantibabu to start his own venture, yet the family continues to attribute the growth to Chantibabu’s leadership. Peddabbai keeps to the edges of the celebrations, nursing his resentment. His wife, Rajyalakshmi, suggests marrying their daughter to Babu as a way to ease the sting of rivalry, but Peddabbai wrestles with how to present this plan to his brother-in-law. When Chantibabu learns of the idea, he decides to intervene and speak with Babu to prevent worsening tensions.

Enter Kasi Annapurna, the free-spirited NRI from Australia, who arrives in India and is welcomed by the family. Kasi, played by Kajal Agarwal, quickly captures Babu’s attention, and the two begin to develop feelings for one another. Yet their visions of life diverge: Kasi cherishes independence and wants to explore the world beyond familial expectations, while Babu values family harmony and security. The couple’s romance advances, but a clash over living arrangements follows. A trip to Ooty becomes a turning point—Kasi voices her longing for personal freedom, they share a kiss, and they decide to part ways. As the vacation ends, Peddabbai exits the town with his schemes unresolved, leaving Chantibabu to face the consequences of this rift.

Back home, a new presence arrives in the form of Babu’s sister’s friend from London, a visits-filled guest who is on her way to Brahmotsavam. Samantha Ruth Prabhu portrays this character, a visitor who stirs old loyalties and unsettled emotions. Babu attempts to mend fences with Peddabbai, but the effort falters. The road trip he takes with the London guest unfolds as a journey through memory and lineage, during which he reconnects with distant relatives spanning seven generations. The encounters broaden his perspective on family, tradition, and responsibility, and a quiet, newfound bond begins to form with the woman who accompanied him on the trip.

Meanwhile, Peddabbai, now more entrenched in his new status, pushes for Pranitha Subhash’s character to wed a minister’s son in a grand display of pride. Pranitha Subhash is the cousin of Babu, and the family’s plans for her future become a flashpoint in the ongoing power dynamics. Peddabbai wants Babu to be his son-in-law, a decision that intensifies the rift and triggers a series of dramatic confrontations. Pranitha, recognizing the pressure and the true feelings on both sides, ultimately steps away from the minister’s proposal, slipping away tearfully at a moment of quiet farewell.

As the minister’s alliance is pursued, Peddabbai and Ramachandra Prasad organize a sumptuous wedding to cement the connection, excluding Babu and Mahalakshmi from the celebration. To defend his father’s pride, Babu and Mahalakshmi attend the wedding, bearing the sting of the insult with dignity. Their perseverance, however, proves pivotal. After a tense confrontation, Chantibabu’s will reveals a secret of immense significance: the entire property has been left in Babu’s name, a testament to the unwavering support he provided his father through good times and bad. In a moment of humility, Peddabbai kneels and apologizes to Babu, a gesture that begins to heal old wounds and restore balance to the family.

With the anger cooling and old grievances addressed, the family reconciles and prepares for Brahmotsavam, the festival of renewal. They travel together to Brahmotsavam to discuss Babu’s relationship with Pranitha and to confirm the wedding plans. In a symbolic finale, the story celebrates the union of the two main lovers: Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the woman who sparked a new sense of possibility, and Mahesh Babu as the steadfast Ajay/Otsavam, who embodies the enduring spirit of family and faith. The festival mood swells into a full, bright celebration—Brahma and Otsavam come together as a single, harmonious Brahmotsavam, bringing the entire clan back into a shared, hopeful future.
