Anaconda captured and shipped to Romania

Stephen Hammett leads a team to capture an enormous anaconda from the Amazon River and transport it to a Romanian genetic research facility to study it and pursue a serum related to the Blood Orchid. The goal is to study the creature and develop a serum tied to the Blood Orchid. As preparation proceeds, concerns rise about the snake's unprecedented size.

Breakout at the Romanian facility

During a facility visit, Murdoch provokes the anaconda with a large flashlight, triggering a violent breakout. The creature breaches the enclosure, killing several researchers, including Daryl, and freeing the queen snake. Kane is crushed by the killer before being decapitated, confirming the danger posed by the beast.

Team mobilizes and reaches a rural farm

Murdoch summons Hammett to capture both snakes, and Amanda and Pinkus join the mission. The team arrives at a small farm in the woods, where the resident is eaten alive by one of the snakes. The hunt quickly shifts from the laboratory to the countryside.

First confrontation and losses

In the farm's first confrontation, Grozny is stabbed by the snake’s tail and Dragosh is killed when the creature bites off his head. The attack also destroys one of the pursuit vehicles. Hammett delivers a stern briefing on how to kill the snake, rallying the survivors for the next move.

Split up and car pursuit begins

Amanda heads off in the remaining car with Victor and Sofia as the group splits up to pressure the snakes. The tense retreat takes place under cover of darkness as they attempt to plan a more effective strike. The plan hinges on catching the snakes off guard in the night.

Venom strike and car crash

The snake spits acidic venom into Victor's face, triggering a car crash that kills Victor and leaves Sofia with a broken leg. The snake then devours Sofia, while Amanda is rescued by Hammett and they make their escape.

Queen is pregnant and time runs short

The survivors learn that the queen is pregnant and could give birth within 24 hours, dramatically raising the stakes. The team debates calling in the military, but Hammett blocks it and even warns Amanda about jail for her role in the project.

Morning losses and Pinkus's death

By morning, their search yields Sofia's corpse, which the Dracanaconda has regurgitated. Pinkus is stabbed in the chest by the Dracanaconda and killed, removing one more hunter from the field.

Old factory sighting and explosives plan

Amanda and Nick spot the snakes entering an old factory, and the two begin planting explosives around the building. Hammett continues the search on foot, trying to track the snakes through the facility's perimeter.

Nick's death and the grenade moment

Nick is impaled by the snake but manages to trigger a grenade, killing himself and the creature. Hammett and Andrei arrive at the scene, ready to take on the threat.

Andrei's betrayal and birth reveal

Andrei moves to set the charges inside the factory, but Hammett shoots him, revealing his allegiance to Murdoch. Inside the factory, the queen gives birth to the next generation of snakes, escalating the danger.

Amanda springs the explosives and escapes

After the birth, Amanda wounds Hammett and sets the timer on the explosives, then escapes the building. Hammett, wounded, is left to fend off the newborn snakes as the timer ticks down.

Factory explosion and aftermath

The explosives detonate, wiping out Hammett, the queen, and the newborn snakes. Peter Reysner, Murdoch's man, arrives and retrieves a surviving baby snake to deliver it to Murdoch.
