Departure from the refinery

The Nostromo, a commercial towing spaceship, embarks on its journey back to Earth after successfully hauling a massive refinery loaded with twenty million tons of mineral ore. The crew settles in for stasis during the return trip, expecting a quiet and uneventful journey.

Crew awakened by unknown transmission

Suddenly, an unknown transmission from a nearby planetoid disrupts the crew's stasis, prompting the ship's computer to awaken them. Following corporate orders, the crew decides to investigate the mysterious signal, prioritizing their employers' interests over their safety.

Investigation of the signal's origin

Captain Dallas, Executive Officer Kane, and Navigator Lambert venture out to trace the origin of the signal. Meanwhile, remaining crewmembers Ripley, Science Officer Ash, and Engineers Brett and Parker stay on the ship to oversee repairs and monitor the situation from afar.

Discovery of the alien spacecraft

On their exploration, the trio stumbles upon a decrepit alien spacecraft, which holds the remnants of a gigantic alien creature, its ribs grotesquely splayed out. This shocking discovery raises concerns among the crew regarding their safety and the nature of the signal they followed.

Warning signal decoded

As the Nostromo's computer works on decoding the signal, Ripley discovers it to be a warning rather than an invitation. Ignoring the warning, the team ventures deeper, ultimately finding a vast chamber lined with alien eggs, which sets the stage for horror.

Kane is attacked

In a critically dangerous turn of events, one of the alien eggs attaches itself to Kane's face during their exploration. They take unconscious Kane back to the Nostromo, defying Ripley’s quarantine protocols, which she believes are vital for their safety.

Alien bursts from Kane's chest

After a failed attempt to remove the creature that had attached to Kane, he regains consciousness but tragically chokes during a meal. An alien creature violently bursts forth from his chest, marking the loss of Kane and the beginning of the crew's fight for survival.

Fatal hunt for the Alien begins

Armored with makeshift weapons like motion trackers and flamethrowers, the crew attempts to hunt down the newly born Alien as it starts to stalk them. The tension escalates when Brett is lured into danger by the ship’s cat, resulting in his horrific death.

Dallas's desperate attempt

In a last-ditch effort to flush the Alien out into space, Dallas enters the air shafts of the ship. Unfortunately, his plan backfires as he becomes the next victim, raising fear among the remaining crew members about their dwindling safety.

Ripley takes charge

As Lambert suggests evacuation, Ripley asserts her leadership, explaining that the shuttle cannot accommodate all four remaining crew members. She realizes the gravity of their predicament and tries to rally the remaining members around a plan to survive.

Betrayal of Ash revealed

Ripley uncovers the shocking truth that Ash is an android created by the corporation to retrieve the Alien at the expense of the crew’s lives. This betrayal unfolds when Ash attacks Ripley, prompting Parker to intervene and disable the rogue android.

Tragedy strikes again

As the crew gathers supplies to arm the Nostromo's self-destruct mechanism, they encounter the Alien. In a gruesome turn of events, Parker and Lambert both meet their deaths at the hands of the creature, leaving Ripley alone to find an escape.

Self-destruct initiated

In a frantic attempt to escape the impending doom, Ripley activates the Nostromo's self-destruct sequence. She races to the shuttle, but finds the Alien blocking her path, narrowly escaping as the ship detonates behind her in a fiery explosion.

Final confrontation with the Alien

As Ripley prepares for stasis, she makes a startling discovery that the Alien has infiltrated the shuttle. In a desperate gamble, she dons a space suit and opens the hatch, resulting in explosive decompression that hurls the creature into space.
