Yuka Itaya (板谷 由夏) was born on 22 June 1975 in the scenic Fukuoka Prefecture of Japan. She entered the entertainment world while still a teenager, graduating from Kyushu International University Comes High School and later from Fukuoka Jo Gakuin Junior College before securing a role as an exclusive model for the teen fashion magazine PeeWee in 1994. The following year she ventured into music, forming the duo South End×Yuka and releasing the single “So.ta.i,” which showcased her versatility beyond modeling. Her acting breakthrough arrived with the film Avec mon mari, where she starred alongside Kentarō Ōtani and earned the Best New Talent award at the Yokohama Film Festival, cementing her reputation as a promising young actress.
