She was born in Dieppe, Seine-Maritime, the daughter of farmers, and spent her formative years in Gonzeville. Her prowess in performing arts was groomed at the prestigious Rouen Conservatoire - a school exceptional for dance, music, and drama. Lemercier's first appearance on screen was marked by her performance in the television series 'Palace'. In the years following her debut, she exhibited stellar performances in 'Les Visiteurs' (1993) and 'Fauteuils d'orchestre' (2007), for which she was awarded two César Awards. She also took onto the stage as a host for the award ceremony in 2006 and 2007.
