Edward M. Sears, better known by his stage name Teddy Sears, is an American actor whose career has spanned over two decades, beginning with a two‑year contract on the daytime soap One Life to Live after a fortuitous first audition. Born on April 6, 1977 in Washington, D.C., he was raised in the affluent suburb of Chevy Chase, Maryland, where he attended the Landon School in Bethesda before earning a football scholarship at the University of Maryland. After transferring, he completed a degree in business management at the University of Virginia in 1999, a background that initially led him to a corporate career in New York before he pivoted to acting. Sears sharpened his craft at the William Esper Studio, which opened doors to guest spots on the Law & Order franchise, Whoopi, and comedy appearances on Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
