Taylor Kitsch: Movies & Box Office

Canadian actor and model Taylor Kitsch, born April 8, 1981, is best known for his portrayal of Tim Riggins in the NBC television series Friday Night Lights (2006–2011). He has worked in many notable films including X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), Battleship (2012), John Carter (2012), and Savages (2012). Kitsch also starred in the second season of the HBO series True Detective and has shown notable performances in television films such as The Normal Heart as well as the Amazon Prime Video series The Terminal List. Early in his career, Kitsch moved to New York City in 2002 to pursue modelling with IMG and studying acting. While initially struggling and even being homeless for a time, he eventually relocated to Los Angeles where he modelled for Diesel and Abercrombie & Fitch. His breakout acting role came in 2006 when he was cast in the NBC sports teen drama TV series Friday Night Lights.

Unfortunately due to a knee injury, Kitsch's early efforts in junior ice hockey were cut short in 2002. Despite those setbacks, he has remained active in the entertainment industry. His work in Peter Berg's film Lone Survivor, based on Marcus Luttrell's book, as well as starring roles in American Assassin and Only the Brave have solidified his standings in Hollywood. Kitsch also represented the cult leader David Koresh in the Paramount Channel miniseries Waco. In most recent years, he starred in Antoine Fuqua's The Terminal List and is expected to appear as the lead in Neill Blomkamp's Inferno. As of today, Kitsch continues to work on unannounced projects that are currently in the pipeline.
