Silvero Pereira, born on 20 June 1982 in Mombaça, Ceará, Brazil, is a distinguished Brazilian actor and director whose career spans over two decades of innovative theatrical and cinematic work. From the age of seventeen, he immersed himself in the world of theatre, quickly becoming a driving force in Fortaleza’s cultural scene and earning a degree in performing arts from the Federal Institute of Ceará, which grounded his artistic pursuits in formal training. In the early 2000s, Pereira co‑founded two influential companies—Inquieta Cia. de Teatros and Coletivo Artístico As Travestidas—both of which have been pivotal in fostering experimental performance and providing a platform for marginalized voices, particularly within the trans community, where As Travestidas has produced seven acclaimed shows reaching audiences across the South and Southeast of Brazil. His film debut arrived with the 2013 feature Serra Pelada, a project that later evolved into a popular television series on Globo, showcasing his versatility across mediums. While performing in the play BR‑Trans in Rio de Janeiro, he caught the attention of renowned writer Glória Perez, leading to a key role in the prime‑time telenovela A Força do Querer (2017), a performance that earned him a nomination at the 22nd Best of the Year Award for best new actor.
