Sarah French, born September 17, 1985, is an American journalist, beauty pageant titleholder, and advocate for domestic violence victims. She was born in Dallas, Texas, but spent her growing years in Hot Springs, Arkansas. After high school, French moved to Columbia, Missouri to study Broadcast Journalism at the University of Missouri. French has held titles like Miss Arkansas Teen USA 2004 and Miss Missouri 2006. Her beauty pageant career is characterized by a string of successes and awards, including the Miss Photogenic award at the Miss Teen USA 2004 pageant, and the Miss America 2007 Smile Award. As a journalist, she works as an anchor and reporter for WCNC 36 in Charlotte, North Carolina. However, her career hasn't been confined to journalism and beauty pageants alone. She is known for her advocacy work for domestic violence victims, an endeavor that saw her work towards making 911 texting available statewide in Connecticut. She has also worked as a spokesperson for the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the Children's Miracle Network, and was also a host for NBC's local television show YourLA during her tenure in Los Angeles. Her health and fitness column has appeared in Life & Home Magazine, marked by a consistent focus on diabetes owing to its prevalence in her family. Sarah is also a member of the Cherokee Nation.
