Sara Sálamo, born Sara Ainhoa Concepción Sálamo on 20 January 1992 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, began her artistic journey at age eleven when she appeared in a short film directed by her father, sparking a lifelong passion for performance. Moving to Madrid at eighteen, she left the Canary Islands to study acting and chase professional opportunities, quickly securing a minor television role in Toledo, cruce de destinos in 2012. That same year she relocated temporarily to Málaga to join the cast of the Andalusian regional soap Arrayán, marking her first regular screen presence. In 2013 she transitioned to cinema with her feature‑film debut in the teen drama Three‑60, playing a Fine Arts student and demonstrating her versatility beyond television. Over the next few years she amassed a series of supporting appearances in popular Spanish series such as La que se avecina, Aída, Con el culo al aire and Águila Roja, honing her craft and gaining industry recognition. Her breakout role arrived in 2014‑2015 as Cayetana in the workplace dramedy B&b, de boca en boca, a performance that earned her a national audience and solidified her status as a leading actress. Beyond the small screen, she expanded her filmography with roles in the 2018 films Perdida and Everybody Knows, and she starred as “La Buhíta” in the 2019 crime series Brigada Costa del Sol, showcasing her ability to portray complex, gritty characters.
