Samuel Hazeldine, born on 29 March 1972 in Hammersmith, London, hails from a theatrical family—his parents James Hazeldine and Rebecca Moore were both accomplished actors. Raised amidst rehearsals and stage lights, he developed an early appreciation for performance art, yet he initially diverged from the family trade. After completing his secondary education, Hazeldine secured a place at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where he studied for two years before abandoning formal training to chase a burgeoning passion for music. He co‑founded the indie band Mover, immersing himself in songwriting and live gigs for a decade, an interlude that enriched his artistic sensibility and honed his stage presence.
