Robert Wuhl: Movies & Box Office

Robert Wuhl (born October 9, 1951) is an American actor, comedian, and writer. His journey began in Union, New Jersey, where he was born into a Jewish family. The world got its first taste of his talent when he took a starring role in the 1980 comedy The Hollywood Knights. That success led to roles in films such as Good Morning, Vietnam alongside Robin Williams, Bull Durham with Kevin Costner, Tim Burton's 1989 Batman with Michael Keaton, amongst others. He's also noted for his roles in Blaze with Paul Newman, Missing Pieces with Eric Idle, and Mistress with Robert De Niro. His writing prowess came to light when he penned two of the six episodes for the TV series Police Squad! in 1982. An important landmark in his career would be winning two Emmy Awards for co-writing the Academy Awards in 1990 and 1991 with Billy Crystal, Bruce Vilanch, David Steinberg, and others. From 1996 to 2002, he demonstrated his writing and acting skills in the HBO series Arliss. Beyond the silver screen and TV, Wuhl also made appearances in the world of sports and radio, being a frequent panelist on the ESPN game show 2 Minute Drill and hosting a sports, sports business, and entertainment daily talk radio show for Westwood One from 2011.
