Risa Tsumugi (紡木 吏佐, Tsumugi Risa), born on July 5, 1996, is a Japanese voice actress, DJ, rapper, and singer who has made significant waves in the anime and music industry. Born in Kanagawa Prefecture but raised in Okinawa Prefecture, she developed her English proficiency during her time at an international school from kindergarten to fourth grade of elementary school, which later became a distinctive asset in her career. Her passion for voice acting ignited during her second year of middle school after watching Aya Hirano's live dubbing performance of Haruhi Suzumiya, though she had to overcome her parents' initial opposition and the geographical limitations of auditions held only in Tokyo or Fukuoka Prefecture. After moving to Tokyo for university to study law, she actively pursued auditions and eventually affiliated herself with the talent agency Hibiki during her second year, launching what would become a remarkably diverse career spanning multiple genres and multimedia franchises.

Tsumugi rose to prominence with her casting in the BanG Dream! franchise in 2018, where she serves as the DJ for the in-universe and real-life band Raise A Suilen (RAS) and voices the character CHU²/Chiyu Tamade, making her concert debut at Akasaka Blitz on July 17, 2018. She further expanded her portfolio by joining the Bushiroad property D4DJ in 2019 as Saki Izumo of the unit Photon Maiden, and began voicing Tazusa Andō in the mixed-media project Assault Lily in 2020. Beyond voice acting, she is recognized for her bilingual talents, which Bushiroad founder Takaaki Kidani considered a vital asset for the franchise's international expansion, and she co-hosts the variety shows Radio RIOT alongside fellow RAS member Reo Kurachi, and D4DJ Photon Maiden TV. In her personal life, Tsumugi married music composer Yuki Honda in 2022, though the couple divorced in 2023, and she continues to be an influential figure in the Japanese entertainment industry.
