Phillipa Soo, born as Phillipa Anne Soo, is a renowned American actress and singer. With her unique contributions primarily in musicals, she has been recognized with two Grammy Awards along with nominations for a Tony Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. One of her most illustrious roles was as Eliza Hamilton in the Broadway hit, 'Hamilton', earning her a nomination for the 2016 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical and a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. This performance was captured in the Disney+ live stage recording of Hamilton which was released in 2020 and she was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie.
