Celebrated for his portrayal of the eponymous character, coroner Dominic Da Vinci, on the crime drama television series Da Vinci's Inquest and its spin-off Da Vinci's City Hall, Campbell's performances have been rewarded with four Gemini Awards among others. Aside from television, he has played pivotal roles in famous films directed by David Cronenberg such as Fast Company and The Dead Zone. His contribution to the film industry also comprises appearances in acclaimed films such as A Bridge Too Far, Cinderella Man, and Goon.
Before his rise to stardom, Campbell was raised in Toronto and Montreal, and later pursued his studies in England at Drama Studio London and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. His acting career took off after he spent 40 weeks touring the United Kingdom with the York Theatre Royal Repertory Company. Over the years, Campbell has donned multifaceted roles in numerous films and TV series, including Diamonds and The Hitchhiker. Demonstrating versatility, he bagged a Variety of awards for his dextrous execution of roles. Apart from acting, he directed the acclaimed music documentary Stepping Razor: Red X, further showcasing his diverse talents.
