Nathan Parsons began his life in Adelaide, South Australia, on June 16, 1988, before his family relocated to the United States, where he was raised in Boulder, Colorado and later Austin, Texas. From an early age he demonstrated a passion for performance, landing voice‑over work for Japanese anime series such as Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water and Jing: King of Bandits through ADV Films, which gave him his first professional credits as a child actor. After briefly attending the University of Southern California’s Bachelor of Fine Arts Acting program, he left school after three semesters to pursue work in Los Angeles, where he also joined the contemporary dance collective Boom Kat Dance Theatre, contributing to productions that earned the company residency at Santa Monica’s Miles Memorial Playhouse.
