Marc Michel (born 10 February 1929 in Basse‑Terre, Guadeloupe and deceased 3 November 2016 in Eure‑et‑Loir, France) was a distinguished French‑Swiss actor whose career spanned more than six decades. Although born in the Caribbean overseas department of Guadeloupe, Michel relocated to mainland France where he cultivated a versatile craft that would see him appear in over fifty films from the mid‑1950s until his final screen credit in 2016. He first entered the cinematic world in 1955, quickly establishing himself as a reliable supporting player, and his early work demonstrated a subtle blend of naturalism and elegance that caught the attention of celebrated directors.
