Luke Treadaway: Movies & Box Office

Luke Antony Newman Treadaway, born 10 September 1984 in Exeter, Devon, England, is a highly acclaimed British actor and singer. Renowned for his role as Christopher in the National Theatre's production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, he won an Olivier Award for Best Leading Actor in 2013 and has been nominated for an Evening Standard Theatre Award. His acting career initiated with a local Christmas pantomime Little Red Riding Hood where he played a daffodil, marking the start of a prolific career. Attending Queen Elizabeth's Community College in Crediton, he showcased his talent in drama, forming a band named Lizardsun and joining the National Youth Theatre.

While studying at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Luke and his twin brother Harry Treadaway starred in Brothers of the Head, a feature film where they played conjoined twins. Upon graduating, Luke started gaining recognition, appearing in a series lead for The Innocence Project and the Channel 4 drama Clapham Junction. He marked his stage debut in Saint Joan at the Royal National Theatre, and his performance in TV shows, films and plays has been prodigious since then. Starred in Fortitude as well as BBC One's three-part adaptation of the Agatha Christie novel Ordeal by Innocence. Not limiting himself to acting, he even directed a music video for girl band Boxettes.
