As a defensive back, he helped lead the school’s football team to the Georgia Class AAAA state championship in 1993, serving as co‑captain, while also playing center field for the baseball squad. The nickname “Kip” originates from the initials of his full name (K.I.P.), a moniker that stuck throughout his youth and later professional life. After high school, Pardue earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Yale University, where he continued to play football at the collegiate level and honed the discipline that would later serve his acting career.
