Kelly O'Sullivan, born around 1983 or 1984, is a multifaceted personality in the filmmaking world. She don's multiple hats of an actress, screenwriter, director, and producer. In particular, she has significant recognition for her work in 'Saint Frances' (2019) and 'Ghostlight' (2024). Besides acting in 'Saint Frances', she put her creative writing skills to use and penned the acclaimed movie's script. This film significantly enhanced her reputation in the film fraternity as it won the Audience Award and the Special Jury Award at the prestigous 2019 SXSW Film Festival. On the direction side, she co-directed 'Ghostlight' which successfully premiered at the prestigious 2024 Sundance Film Festival. Born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, her career choices were greatly influenced by her upbringing and local surroundings. She attended Immaculate Conception school until eighth grade and went on to study theatre at Northwestern University. Continuing her passion for acting and theatre, she became an alumna of the eminent Steppenwolf Theatre Company's School at Steppenwolf in Chicago. Inspired by the renowned director Greta Gerwig, Kelly O'Sullivan's career took a significant turn. While working as a nanny to support her struggling acting career in her twenties and an abortion experience in the early thirties, inspired her to write 'Saint Frances'. She cleverly crafted roles in the film for actors Lily Mojekwu and Charin Alvarez.
