James Thomas Patrick Walsh, most commonly known as J.T. Walsh, was an acclaimed American character actor, distinguishing himself with his roles in films like 'Tin Men' (1987), 'Good Morning, Vietnam' (1987), 'A Few Good Men' (1992), 'Hoffa' (1992), 'Nixon' (1995), 'Sling Blade' (1996), 'Breakdown' (1997), and 'Pleasantville' (1998). Walsh was born in San Francisco, California and had an illustrious career spanning more than two decades, until his untimely death in 1998. Aside from films, he also excelled on television as the prison warden in the 1995 episode 'The List' from the X-Files. In addition to his on-screen works, Walsh worked extensively on stage, receiving critical acclaim for performances such as his role as John Williamson in the 1984 U.S. premiere of David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross on Broadway. Walsh passed away from a heart attack in 1998, leaving a significant mark on American film and television that still resonates today.
