Josh Tickell, born on August 7, 1975, is an esteemed American film director known for his commitment to producing films with significant social messages. His first feature movie, Fuel, was well acclaimed and won the Sundance Audience Award for Best Documentary. The film found immense success and was released theatrically in the United States, gaining over 1 million viewers on different platforms like Netflix, iTunes, Hulu, and CNBC. Impressively, it was screened in the White House for energy and environment staff working in the Obama administration.

Beyond his success with Fuel, Tickell has been involved in notable projects like The Big Fix and Freedom. His film The Big Fix explored potential links between corporate and political wrongdoings and the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill, garnering attention at the Cannes Film Festival.
