Jamie Huw Roberts (born 8 November 1986 in Newport, Wales) is celebrated as one of Wales' most versatile and durable rugby union centres. Beginning his senior career in 2005 with Cardiff RFC, he quickly progressed to the regional side Cardiff Blues where his blend of physical power—standing 1.96 m tall and weighing 107 kg—and tactical acumen made him a mainstay in the Welsh back‑line. Over a 17‑year professional span he amassed 94 caps for Wales, contributing crucial tries and defensive solidity in three Six Nations Grand Slam victories (2008, 2012, 2013) and two British & Irish Lions tours, where he earned the Player of the Series award in 2009. His club journey spanned elite competitions across Europe and the Southern Hemisphere, featuring stints at Racing Métro in France, Harlequins and Bath in England, the Stormers in South Africa’s Super Rugby, and a return to Wales with the Dragons before finishing his playing days with the New South Wales Waratahs in 2022.
