Ivan Sen is an esteemed Indigenous Australian Filmmaker, renowned for his remarkable versatility in extending his creativity as a director, screenwriter, cinematographer, editor, composer, and sound designer. Born in 1972 in Nambour, Queensland, Sen spent his formative years facing hardship which later deeply impacted his passion for filmmaking. His childhood experiences have significantly built the indigenous perspective in his films. A co-founder and director of Bunya Productions, Sen is most known for his works like 'Mystery Road' (2013), 'Goldstone' (2016) and the upcoming 'Limbo' in 2023. His journey from painting and photography to the Australian Film, Television and Radio School in Sydney, crafting numerous short films throughout the 90's and his distinguished journey from 'Beneath Clouds' (2002) winning the Best Director Award at the Australian Film Institute Awards to executive producing an ABC TV production of 'Mystery Road' series in 2018, has left a significant footprint in the Australian filmmaking industry.
