Irán Castillo Pinzón (born 4 January 1977 in Veracruz, Veracruz, Mexico) is a Mexican actress and singer whose career spans more than three decades, making her one of the most recognizable faces of Latin American pop culture. She began her entertainment journey at six years old when she appeared in commercials after a failed audition for the children’s show Chiquilladas, which led to modeling work and early exposure to television. By the age of twelve she was training formally in acting workshops under Martha Zavaleta and Pedro Damián, and soon after made minor appearances in anthology series such as Mujer, casos de la vida real. Her breakout role came in 1994 as Cecilia in the telenovela Agujetas de color de rosa, where she also contributed the hit soundtrack track “La vida es rosa”, cementing her dual identity as a actress‑singer.
