Raised in a bilingual household, she spent her early childhood in Sweden before her family relocated to Seville, Spain, where she absorbed both cultures and languages, a background that would later become a hallmark of her versatile performances. Although she initially pursued studies in architecture and worked as a waitress in a local bar, García‑Jonsson’s passion for film led her to the screen in 2011 with a small role in Okupados, quickly followed by a breakthrough as the lead in Beautiful Youth (2014), a film that premiered at Cannes and earned her a Goya Award nomination for Best New Actress.
