Born on October 9, 1983, Gethin David L. Anthony is undoubtedly known for his substantial work in the television and film industry. Born in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, Anthony showed a passion for drama from a young age with the progression of his education heavily rooted in the arts. He attended numerous schools before eventually earning a scholarship for a summer programme at the British American Drama Academy in London from July to August 2004. He then studied English Literature at the prestigious Oxford University's Balliol College, where he impressed in numerous student productions, most notably in the leading role of Cyrano de Bergerac at the Oxford Playhouse. Around this time, Anthony served as President of the Oxford University Dramatic Society.

Professionally, Anthony made his acting debut in 2006 and since then, he has played notable characters in the film and television industry. Prominent among his roles are playing Renly Baratheon in the HBO series Game of Thrones and portraying the infamous Charles Manson in the NBC series Aquarius. In his theatre career, he has played in several productions, including 'Boris Godunov' at the Royal Shakespeare Company and 'A Lie of the Mind' at Southwark Playhouse in London. He also voiced the character Gil Brodie in the popular video game 'Mass Effect: Andromeda' in 2017.
