George Nolfi is an accomplished American filmmaker, known for his diverse roles as a screenwriter, director, and producer. Born on June 10, 1968 in Boston, Massachusetts, Nolfi graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University and earned a Marshall Scholarship to study philosophy at Oxford University. He initially ventured into a PhD in political science at UCLA, aiming for a career in government and academia. Yet his life took a dramatic turn in 1997, when he sold his first spec script, Pathfinder, sparking his film-making career. His illustrious journey in Hollywood began with his first screenwriting credit for the sci-fi film Timeline in 2003. His screenplays include high-profile ones like Ocean’s Twelve and the political action thriller The Sentinel. His contribution to the Bourne film series won him praise, which eventually led to his directorial debut with The Adjustment Bureau in 2011, an adaption of Philip K. Dick’s short story. This film particularly stands out as it raises thought-provoking questions about fate and self-determination. Nolfi's talent spanned across mediums when he created, executively produced and served as the principal director for the espionage television series Allegiance in 2015.
