**Enid Eulalie Bennett** (15 July 1893 – 14 May 1969) was an Australian‑born silent‑film actress who became a prominent figure in early Hollywood, especially noted for her grace and poise on screen. *Born in York, Western Australia*, she was the daughter of Nellie Mary Louise (née Walker) and Frank Bennett, and grew up in a family that valued education and the arts. After a brief stint in a touring theatrical company in Australia, she moved to the United States in 1915 with director Fred Niblo and the famed Josephine Cohan troupe, marking the start of a trans‑continental career that would span more than two decades. Bennett’s early American work included stage performances such as *Cock o' the Walk* and film appearances in short adaptations of J.C. Williamson productions, but it was her role in the 1917 drama *The Little Brother* that caught the eye of studio mogul Thomas H. Ince and secured her a contract with Triangle Film Corporation. Between 1918 and 1921 she starred in twenty‑three films, establishing herself as a reliable leading lady admired for her elegant presence and consistent critical praise. Her most celebrated performance came in 1922 as Lady Marian in Douglas Fairbanks’s *Robin Hood*, a role she later recalled with fondness for its regal simplicity.

After Niblo’s retirement and eventual death in 1948, she wed film director Sidney Franklin in 1963.
