Bernina De Santis, professionally known as Dina De Santis, was an Italian actress born on October 21, 1932, in Ronciglione, Viterbo, within the Kingdom of Italy. From an early age, she demonstrated a captivating presence that led her to victory in a childhood beauty contest, setting the stage for her future in the entertainment industry. Before transitioning to cinema, De Santis gained valuable experience working in the advertising sector and performing on stage, honing the skills that would define her career. Her entry into the film world came in 1954 when she made her debut in the melodrama Lacrime d'amore (Tears of Love), directed by Pino Mercanti, who played a pivotal role in her professional identity by suggesting her memorable stage name.
