Dennis Barton Dugan (born September 5, 1946) is a multi-faceted American entertainer who has worn many hats throughout his career as a film director, actor, and comedian. Recognized for his diverse filmography, Dugan is particularly renowned for his longstanding collaboration with actor Adam Sandler, directing popular films such as Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, The Benchwarmers, and Grown Ups. Over the years, his films have grossed over a whopping $1.8 billion worldwide. Dugan's film journey began with important roles in Problem Child, Brain Donors, Beverly Hills Ninja, and National Security. He later carved a niche for himself in the industry through recurring roles in TV series like Hill Street Blues, Empire, and Shadow Chasers.
