Dawn O'Porter, born Dawn Porter on January 23, 1979, is a multifaceted Scottish writer, director, and television presenter well-known for her diverse career. Born in Alexandria, Scotland, and raised in Guernsey, she embarked on her studies in acting at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Her initial interest in acting later turned to television work when she took work experience on the television series Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned. Notably, O'Porter strove to slim down to size zero for the BBC documentary Super Slim Me, further solidifying her on-screen popularity.

She is recognized for hosting engaging documentaries in her name, 'Dawn...', detailing attitudes about nudity, lesbianism, dating, and pregnancy for BBC Three. In 2009, O'Porter presented 'The Booby Trap,' a documentary exploring breast cancer for Sky1.
