Daisy Haggard, born on March 22, 1978, in London, England, is an accomplished actress and writer who hails from a distinguished artistic dynasty. As the daughter of film director Piers Haggard and Australian painter Anna Sklovsky, she inherited a rich creative legacy that includes her grandfather, actor Stephen Haggard, and her great-great-great-uncle, the renowned author Sir Henry Rider Haggard. Raised in Dulwich, South London, she attended James Allen's Girls' School before honing her craft at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Her professional journey began in 1996 when she made her screen debut in The Ruth Rendell Mysteries, an episode directed by her own father, marking the start of a career that would span over two decades. Early appearances showcased her versatility, from the BBC Three sketch show Man Stroke Woman to the cult Channel 4 sitcom Green Wing, where she played the memorable Emmy. She further cemented her comedic credentials with roles in Peep Show and the dark BBC Two comedy Psychoville, while also lending her voice to the Ministry Lift in the Harry Potter film franchise.
