Cristina Rodríguez Lozano, better known as Cristina Rodlo, is an established Mexican actress who has built a successful career primarily in her home country of Mexico, but has increasingly seen success in American television as well. Born on May 21, 1990 in Torreón, Coahuila, a city in northern Mexico, Rodlo took part in a theatre production at the young age of 11, sparking her passion for acting. After securing sponsorship from a local politician, she left Mexico at the age of 18 to study acting at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York City. Despite being advised early in her career that she did not look 'Mexican enough' for stereotypical Latino roles in the United States, Rodlo did not let this deter her. Cristinia found initial success in Mexico after her graduation, starring in El Vato and Vuelve Temprano and earning a nomination as the 'Best Newcomer - Female' at the 2016 Diosas de Plata awards for her performance in the film, Ladrones. By 2019, she had broken into American television, appearing in Amazon Prime's 'Too Old to Die Young', AMC's 'The Terror' and co-starring alongside Gina Rodriguez in the 2019 remake of 'Miss Bala'. Since then, Rodlo has continued to expand her profile with roles in '68 Whiskey', Netflix's 'No One Gets Out Alive', and 'Halo'. Her diverse roles and performances across different movie genres showcase her impressive range and adaptability as an actress.
